Linear Actuator

MASCOT spring cylinder linear actuator is a powerful, high-performance pneumatic actuator, which can be used for precise throttling or on-off applications. Uniquely designed compact sized cylinders actuators accept supply pressures up to 150 psi, making very high thrusts available in a relatively compact unit. The 4 basic sizes (25, 50, 100 & 200 Sq In) cater to almost 90% of a plant’s requirement hence reducing the spare part inventory as well as cost.

  • High thrust cylinder : Operating pressure of up to 150 psi (10.3 Bar) results in a substantially higher thrust capability compared to diaphragm actuators resulting in achieving a tighter shutoff for the valve.
  • Low Deadband & Excellent Positioning Accuracy: Double-acting configuration responds quickly to signal changes and provides high repeatability and low hysteresis.
  • Lightweight & Compact: : The actuator is substantially lighter and more compact than comparable linear diaphragm actuators which offers ease of maintenance.
  • Less Parts & Economical Maintenance: The actuator uses about 33% less parts than comparable diaphragm actuators. Also the cost of replacement parts is about 10% as compared to diaphragm actuators allowing low maintenance costs as well as a reduced spare part inventory.
  • Low Air Consumption: Cylinder design uses less supply air than comparable diaphragm actuators resulting in lower operating cost for the plant.
  • Larger Stroke & Full Stroke Controllability: The actuators have a higher stroke length than comparable diaphragm actuators which help achieve higher range-ability. Also, unlike the diaphragm actuators which struggle to maintain stability at lower and higher openings the MASCOT spring cylinders provide high stiffness and repeatability throughout the stroke.
  • Ease of Maintenance: Periodic maintenance is easy to perform since the spring cylinder actuator only requires the removal of three parts to access all internal parts. Moreover the standard spring actuators are fully field reversible without the need for any additional parts.
