EP3K – Electro-Pneumatic Positioner

MASCOT EP3K Positioners are Electro-Pneumatic Positioners used by MASCOT control valves equipped with linear or rotary actuators. The positioners are single or double-acting, with a torque motor and flapper nozzle technology that provide fast, sensitive and accurate positioning of MASCOT spring cylinder actuators as well as diaphragm actuators. These rugged positioners are compact and are designed for high performance. They offer simple Zero and Span adjustment for ease of calibration.

Features
  • Fast Response Time: The positioner offers a fast response time and flow rate.
  • Easily Field Reversed: A reversal of action in the field is achieved by simply by changing the output tubing.
  • Simple Calibration: As the Zero and Span adjustment is simple the calibration becomes easy.
  • Air Supply & Consumption: The positioner is designed to withstand 100 psi (7 bar). It is insensitive to supply pressure fluctuations so a change in supply pressure does not affect the output. The steady state air consumption is just 2.5 LPM @ 20 psi (1.4 Bar) supply.
  • Weatherproof Enclosure: The positioner has an IP 66 enclosure making it suitable for outdoor operations.
  • Bypass Option: : The positioner is equipped with a bypass valve and an Auto/Manual switch giving the user an ability to bypass the positioner and manually operate the valve in case of a positioner malfunction.
  • Ease of Maintenance: Ease in maintenance because of the simplicity of the design and modular parts.
